Lilredhead Productions is an amateur Flash animation production company. Started in 2002 by Chad Troftgruben, Lilredhead Productions has since then been striving to bring quality entertainment to the fans of animated cartoons.
Lilredhead Studios is a merger of Chad Troftgruben's Flash Animation and Live Action Film Productions.

Lilredhead Productions (previously known as Lilredhead Comics) was founded in the summer of 2002. Starting off by doing simple (and poorly done) animated cartoons, the production company slowly but steadily grew. In its early years, Lilredhead Productions was best known for such series as: Mr. Binkee's Class, Bubba Has a Gun, and Ahoyager: The Journey Home.

It wasn't until early 2005 when Lilredhead Productions really hit it's stride. With the release of the Star Trek parody Enterprise: Flashed, the Lilredhead Productions name spread like wild fire throughout Star Trek Fandom. Enterprise: Flashed was launched with the Trek United campaign to help save Star Trek: Enterprise from being canceled. Even though Trek United failed in its mission, Lilredhead Productions' series continued to entertain avid Star Trek and cartoon fans.

Presently the animation team at Lilredhead Studios continues to push the boundires in animated entertainment. With such hit series as Walk'n With Walken and I Am Ahoyager and more on the way, there is something for everyone here at Lilredhead Animation Studios.

As for the live action side of things, that dates all the way back to 1997 when Chad Troftgruben and his friends started to make simple and cheesy home movies. The gang continued in their usual trend until 2001 when Chad Troftgruben and Zach Tibor formed Master Mind Productions. During this time the quality of the movies improved slightly, with more focus on special effects than anything. In 2004 the production company's name was changed to I.M. Independent Productions.

During the fall of 2004, Chad Troftgruben and Josh Nichols joined forces and formed The DSU Filmmakers Club. This university organization grew upon the foundation Chad and his friends started so many years ago. The quality of the movies got much better, member activity increased, and so did public awareness. Most notably during this time, Lilredhead Studios' first live action sitcom entered production. Entitled Roomies, the series followed the antics of six college students. The series was seven episodes long and gained a small fan base.

In the spring of 2007, Josh graduated from Dickinson State University and consequently stepped down as President of the DSU Filmmakers. In the fall of 2007 Chad gave up his position as President to pursue a brighter future for Lilredhead Studios.
In 2008 and 2009 we have continued to push forward with our projects including Walk'n With Walken. We also have some new projects in the pipeline. With an increasing online presence and our skills always improving, our goal to provide entertaining films to everyone is becoming more realized.
